What products are there specifically for women?
For over 25 years, we've worked with women to develop incontinence products that fit their bodies. Prevail® offers a wide range of female and unisex incontinence products that meet different absorbency needs, from pantiliners to protective briefs. Whether your leaks are light, heavy, or somewhere in between, we have a product for you.
LIGHT LEAKS are often associated with stress incontinence. That’s when you get an involuntary dribble of urine after sneezing, jumping, laughing, or exercising. If that sounds like you, these products are exactly what you’re looking for:
Pantiliners: If you experience the occasional dribble, pantiliners will protect you and your clothes from moisture. Just wear them inside your regular underwear and get on with your day moisture-free, from the grocery store to the gym.
Bladder control pads: If you have frequent light leaks, you're going to want more protection than pantiliners can offer. Bladder control pads are more absorbent and will keep you dry and comfortable all day long. Like pantiliners, you can wear them inside your regular underwear.
MODERATE LEAKS are often associated with urge incontinence and mixed incontinence. With urge incontinence, you experience sudden, frequent urges to urinate that keep you from getting to the bathroom in time. If you have mixed incontinence, you experience these same sudden urges as well as recurring leakage during certain movements like sneezing or laughing. If these types of leakage sound familiar, these products offer the protection you need:
Bladder Control Pads: If your leaks lean towards the lighter side, bladder control pads deliver the absorbency you need. You can wear them right inside your regular underwear. However, if the frequency or amount of leakage increases, we recommend protective underwear, which provides additional coverage and fits like your own undergarment and provides additional protection against leaks.
Protective Underwear: For heavier or more frequent leaks, you can depend on unisex protective underwear to keep you dry, odor-free, and comfortable. Just switch out your regular underwear for protective underwear.
Protective Underwear for Women: Finding the right fit for your body type can be tricky. That's why we offer protective underwear that's specifically designed for a woman's shape. If you experience frequent leaks, just replace your regular underwear with women's protective underwear for a custom-fitted feel and ultimate protection.
HEAVY LEAKS are often associated with reflex, overflow, or functional incontinence. If you have reflex incontinence, it may be difficult to determine when you have to go to the bathroom, resulting in accidents. If you have overflow incontinence, your bladder always feels full. As a result, you experience a constant dribbling of urine and increased frequency and urgency of urination. Functional incontinence occurs when your urinary system is working properly, but immobility or cognitive impairment prevents you from getting to the bathroom in time.
Briefs: When it comes to heavy leakage, briefs provide the most comprehensive protection. You can choose from a range of absorbencies for both bladder leaks. Briefs should be worn in place of regular underwear.
Underpads: These disposable pads can be placed on beds, chairs, and other surfaces to provide additional leakage defense.
