Do the thin pads work?

Prevail® Bladder Control Pads are discreet pads designed for light bladder leakage protection. They come individually wrapped and are available in a variety of sizes and absorbencies.

These pads are effective for dealing with stress incontinence, which is characterized by light bladder leaks: just a few droplets or occasional dribbles. Stress incontinence occurs when physical movements or activities like sneezing, coughing, laughing, and exercising place pressure on the bladder, causing light leakage. Despite common misconceptions, stress incontinence is not related to psychological or emotional stress.

Common Causes:

  • Strenuous physical activities
  • Pregnancy and childbirth
  • Pelvic surgery and trauma
  • Loss of muscle tone
  • Enlarged prostate
  • Hormonal changes in women

If you have light bladder leakage, the following products provide just the right amount of leakage protection:

  • pantiliners
  • bladder control pads
  • male guards

If you experience moderate or heavy leakage, you should wear protective underwear or briefs, which provide more protection and absorbency.
